Okay last semester, Fall 2012, I took a course in Typography. It was the worst class i have ever taken, but that is another story. My teacher was kinda a jerk, would mark you down entire letter grades for minuscule mistakes or smudges left on the final piece. The worst thing about the guy was he was so dry and boring. So with the end of each project we had to make a name plate for our stack of work: progress work, sketches, marker comp, inked final. He said we could do anything on these name plates as long as we used the correct type of type, Franklin Gothic for example. So I decided to try and make this teacher smirk, chuckle anything with these name plates I did. 
These were two that I really pressed to go far beyond just weird, just to get a reaction. The top one is Shrek from the Shrek movies and the bottom one is Vin Diesel from Fast and The Furious. Both of these went unnoticed by the teacher and could not touch is cold, cold heart. The good thing is it made students in my class laugh so that gave me a good feeling, even though my grade on the project didn’t.
These two drawings honestly might be my two favorite things you’ve ever done. Just for the stories alone. HOW COULD HE NOT LAUGH?!?! I would be dying.
